STRENGTHS

• He is listed…and primarily plays the DE position…but his size & skill sets dictate the move to OLB for his best chance of success at the next level
• With the body structure he possesses…there is a high level of potential upside at his projected new position at OLB…which would allow him to utilize his athletic gifts to the fullest
• He exhibits an aggressive style of play on the field…and who plays with an energy & passion for the game rarely scene…along with a swagga
• He showcases natural edge/ pass rushing skills…deploying effective spin moves on blockers making his way to the QB…who is tenacious fighting off blockers…consistently moving and looking to beat his opponent across from him
• He displays excellent agility & feet for his size…with excellent short area explosion…and the ability to quickly redirect in pursuit of the ball
• Displaying excellent short & long game speed…along with the closing speed to run down ball carriers from the backside
• His aggressiveness for the game…along with his athletic traits mentioned above allow him to consistently make tackles for loss (TFL’s)…as a legit force on any given play!
• Along with displaying a passionate…and consistent hunger finding a path to…or around the ball…and once he nears ball carriers he displays a wide tackling radius

WEAKNESSES

• Like to see improved…and more consistent tackling on ball carriers…his aggressiveness is what causes this…which he should learn to harness
• Can use additional weight & strength which would take his game to another level

SUMMARY

• Davis can be a potential disruptive force not only at the collegiate level…but at the next level as well at his new projected OLB position
• My followup evaluation process will determine a more accurate assessment on his overall game.
